Young South Australian Luke Saville 'boys' singles final at Wimbledon Tennis is celebrating his victory.
The 17-year-old Cobdogla fought back from a set down teenage British player Liam Brody 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 is defeated.President of the Riverland Lawn Tennis Association, Garry Pinnington, said many local people had long known tennis Saville was destined for success.
He said, "I remember this young lad, he would have been all of about three or four holding a racquet and running around [in] bare feet on the court, couldn't see over the net".
"Racquet was nearly as big as he was and he was hitting this ball back and giving the kids a real run for their money."
